The AIS and EPL plastic elements ensure greater sleep comfort.
Be it uniform movements and weight distribution in bed or simple adjustment of the tension setting: Hartmann Kunststoff-Technik offers numerous new functions for optimum sleep comfort.
Many years of experience in the manufacture of plastic slat holders, the use of high-quality materials and innovative construction have made the Herford-based company one of the leading manufacturers of standard and special items for the slatted frame, bed, and furniture industry. The new AIS and EPL products, in turn, make a major contribution to this development.
AIS – spring system for the new slatted frame generation
The special feature of AIS (Active Impulse System) is the innovative “see-saw element’. When weight is placed on the system the pressure is progressively distributed. This achieves the best possible adaptation of the mattress area to the body. Even when major demands are made, the system yields only until the optimum position for the body has been achieved. In addition, the use of premium materials makes AIS a durable component of all seating and beds. Depending on customer requirements, the product, which is supplied as standard divided into the upper section and main sprung base is also available in one piece.
EPL – Individual tension setting
In comparison with AIS, the new single-point clip (EPL) for placement on a choice of one or two disk bolts permits a choice between progressive pressure distribution and a local anchorage. The free-moving sprung base wings are clicked into the upper element with just a simple hand movement of the user. The TPEE plastic material used makes it possible to block the sprung base.
Optimisation of sleep comfort
Sprung bases for seating or bedding are already familiar in a number of versions. In many cases, these products require additional components. This makes achieving the desired setting of the mattress area unnecessarily complicated. The new AIS and EPL products from Hartmann Kunststofftechnik, in contrast, are easy to use and require no components which have to be stored separately.
